Kids ages 6–12 will explore the tactile world of ceramics through fun, hands-on projects. They'll learn a new hand-building technique, such as slab, pinch pots, coiling, and glazing. Everyone will have the opportunity to create fun functional forms and express their creativity while making one of a kind pieces unique to them! All materials and kiln firings are included, and students will take home their finished pottery when pieces are dropped off at Inness (within 2-3 weeks). No experience needed—just curiosity, creativity, and a love for getting a little messy!
Please take note of the following:

More about the Instructor: Based in Accord, NY out of her home studio, Samara is a small-batch potter creating simple pieces that blend art and functionality. With a background in agriculture and a love for home-cooked food, Samara draws inspiration from the colors and textures of New York’s Hudson Valley. The focus is on simple, thoughtful design—letting the natural beauty of the materials speak for themselves. The result is a collection of understated, and practical ceramics that fit effortlessly into your home and everyday life.
