PLEASE ALLOW YOURSELF PLENTY OF TIME TO FIND PARKING (IT'LL BE TIGHT!) AND MAKE YOUR WAY TO THE VIEWING AREA!

Olaf Breuning will present his final 'Smoke Bomb' installation at INNESS during Upstate Art Weekend. The smoke bombs will be lit at 3:30pm sharp and the length of the performance will depend on the weather conditions and how the smoke dissipates. Please arrive to the property no later than 3:15pm to ensure that you're able to park and make your way down to the site of the installation in time. The installation is fleeting and only lasts a couple of minutes!

Professional prints (and other fun merch!) from a prior installation that took place on property in June will be available for purchase in our Farm Shop.

In the case of inclement weather, the event will be held the following Sunday, July 23rd.

More about the artist: Olaf Breuning (Swiss, b.1970) is a visual artist from Schaffhausen, Switzerland. Breuning studied photography at Zuercher Hochschule der Kuenste, Zürich, in Switzerland, and graduated with a degree in 1993. After completing his advanced graduate degree in 1996, he started to work as a visual artist and is best known for his impact on Contemporary Art.

While many of his peers focus on photography or video work, Breuning creates installations, sculptures, photographs, films, and other types of art. He often looks to pop culture for inspiration, adding touches of lightness and humor to his work. Sibylle, one of his earliest pieces, shows a woman covered with images of references to works of other artists. Another one of his pieces, Easter Bunnies, shows the Moai sculptures on Easter Island with rabbit ears. New Yorkers will recognize his sculptural piece entitled 'Clouds' from its 2014 location at the south end of Central Park, now on display at Art OMI in Ghent, NY.

Within the last 25 years, his work has been shown at Metro Pictures Gallery, New York, The Whitney Museum, New York, Louisiana Museum, Denmark, Mori Museum, Tokyo, Palais de Tokyo, Paris, Walker Art Center, Minneapolis, and many other places. For more information about his work, please visit his page: www.olafbreuning.com.

Breuning currently resides in Kerhonkson, NY, with his wife and daughter.
