Our friends from Falconry Excursions will be hosting (2) 75-minute sessions. We will be hosting this activity out of the Event Barn this time. Please arrive 10 minutes prior to the start of each session. No dogs allowed.
Expect to meet a variety of birds of prey - think eagles, owls, hawks and falcons! We'll be viewing the birds on the back deck or inside the building, depending on the weather. After learning some interesting facts about the birds, falconry husbandry and handling techniques, participants will have a chance to handle the birds and take pictures before taking a short walk through the field and woods. During the walk, the hawks will follow us from above and respond to the various falconry commands.
This is a memorable experience for all ages, and children are welcome to attend. However, they must be able to stand in place and listen quietly for 45 minutes as loud noises and rapid movement cause undue stress on the birds. Adult supervision is required at all times!
RSVP is required and space is limited. A ticket is required for each child/adult in attendance. Please note that unannounced guests will not be able to access the area during programming to ensure that registered participants get the full experience.
Cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance in order to qualify for a refund.
