Join us for a cozy baking session in the Farmhouse Kitchen where you'll learn how to make delicious hand pies and mulled cider. Participants will be making flakey pie crust and fillings from scratch with a cozy cup of spiked cider in hand! Everyone will have a chance to sit down at the communal tables and enjoy the fruits of their labor! Ages 18+.
RSVP is required. This class is open to registered Members and Hotel Guests. Members are also welcome to bring (1) guest to accompany them at the Guest ticket price. This activity is geared towards adults, please check the calendar for child-friendly classes with Jac! Dogs are not allowed.
Cancellations must be made 48 hours in advance in order to qualify for a refund. Please note that all guests must park their cars in the main lot at the top of the hill, near the restaurant and venture down the hill by foot or request a ride from the front desk staff. Please allow yourself 10-15 minutes to make your way down the hill.
More about the instructor: Jaclyn Fonseca is a classically trained pastry chef and graduate of the Culinary Institute of America. After finishing CIA, she went on to graduate from SUNY New Paltz with a history degree and maintains a broad interest in food history. Moving down to Austin, Texas, she started a successful baking business selling scones and pies at farmers markets, wholesale and retail locations. Ultimately missing the Northeast, Jaclyn moved back to the Hudson Valley to open a boutique cake business which focuses on the beloved and locally grown produce that tastes like home.
