5:45pm-7:15pm: Song of the Sea (1hr 34min) "A timeless delight for all ages." Directed by Tomm Moore artist, animator, and creator of Puffin Rock - Song of the Sea tells the story of Ben and his little sister Saoirse – the last Seal-child – who embark on a fantastic journey across a fading world of ancient legend and magic in an attempt to return to their home by the sea. The film takes inspiration from the mythological Selkies of Irish folklore, who live as seals in the sea but become humans on land. “While embodying a mythological Irish (Celtic) motif, the story incorporates a strong theme about rebuilding/restructuring families that connects widely with this modern generation."
We'll have a limited number of bean bag chairs, blankets & sheepskins set up for everyone to get cozy! Children are welcome to bring a favorite blanket or stuffed animal to snuggle up with! There will also be some additional seating, but please feel free to bring low-profile chairs and blankets of your own.
We will be serving popcorn and kid friendly beverages. We'll also be providing pizza (totally optional!) from an outside vendor to movie goers. If you would like to partake, please purchase one "pizza ticket" per person.
