Learn to play the Pokemon Trading Card Game, a collectible card game where kids take on the role of Pokemon trainers and compete in battles using their collectible monsters. No experience or cards are necessary, every attendee will be given their own set of cards to keep!

Perfect for first-time players or anyone looking to learn more about the Pokemon Trading card game. All the basics will be covered and afterward, attendees will engage in friendly competition with each other. 

LEARN TO PLAY POKEMON is open to current registered members however, your member child may opt to invite a friend to accompany them with a Member Guest ticket. These tickets will become available 1 week out from the scheduled date *if space allows. Cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance in order to qualify for a refund. More about the instructor: Kevin Rahman-Porras is a NYC transplant with roots in video game development, children’s book publishing, and technology. After creating online games for Scholastic, Kevin founded a development studio that produced games for the Playstation and Meta Rift. Kevin also ran Dungeon and Dragon classes for new players in Manhattan, where he discovered his passion for teaching games to new players. He currently resides in the Hudson Valley with his wife Perry and is excited to bring a dose of imaginative gameplay to Inness.
