Fly Fishing: Books, Demo + Art!

It's no secret that Inness is surrounded by some of the best fly fishing in America! We invite you to join us for a family-friendly afternoon tailored to both new and old fly fishing enthusiasts! We're very excited to host author David Coggins who will be signing copies of his newly released book, The Believer

Alongside David, we'll have special guest Nation Fishing Co., offering fly tying tutorials and casting demos using their premium fishing rods. Nation FC retail will also be available for purchase in the Farm Shop.

Local artist and innkeeper, Steven Weinberg, will be also be joining us this afternoon and his beautiful Catskills-based paintings will be on display in the Gatehouse and Restaurant Lounge.

*Following this event there will be a cocktail reception with an informal Q&A in the Gatehouse Bar from 5-7PM. This event is complimentary and open to the public. Parking on property is limited and the overflow lot near the entrance to Bank Street (5 min. walk) will need to be utilized - carpooling is encouraged. If you plan to dine in the restaurant after this event, reservations via Resy are highly recommended.

David Coggins is the author of The Optimist and the New York Times bestseller Men and Style. He writes about travel, style, and fishing for numerous publications, including the Financial Times, Esquire, and his newsletter, The Contender. Coggins lives in New York and fishes regularly in the Catskills, Wisconsin, and Montana.

Nation Fishing Co. is a fishing tackle and apparel company. They design and develop premium products that will last many lifetimes, whilst doing as little harm to the world around us as possible. Their home is in the Catskills mountains of New York, the birthplace of fly fishing in the United States.

Steven Weinberg is a writer, illustrator, and painter in the Catskill Mountains of New York. His work has appeared everywhere from books to beer cans to the Smithsonian. The fish have been featured on the cover of Thomas McGuane’s fly fishing classic THE LONGEST SILENCE, on West Kill Brewing’s “Brookie” lager, in Gray’s Sporting Journal, and are on display at Jimmy Kimmel’s fishing resort The South Fork Lodge.
