Join private chef (and INNESS member!) Shena Vagliano, in the farmhouse kitchen for an hour-long introduction to cooking for kids ages 5 and up. To kick off this new series, kids will learn how to prep vegetables and use a mortar and pestle to prepare fresh pico de gallo, guacamole and mango salsa to accompany their tacos! Vegetarian options available.
Space is limited and RSVP is required. Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance in order to qualify for a refund. Please note that all participants must park their cars in the main lot at the top of the hill, near the restaurant and venture down the hill by foot or request a ride from the gatehouse staff.
More about the instructor: Shena is a graduate from the Institute of Culinary Education in NYC. After years of working in restaurants and whole animal butcheries, she became a private chef and caterer with a passion for highlighting the beautiful produce and meat of the Hudson Valley. She spends as much time as possible in the kitchen with her 5 year old son, who happens to be a picky eater.
