This action packed 3 week series will give kids the opportunity to design, build, and launch their very own model rockets! Each participant will assemble and finish a complete 20-inch model rocket. The last class of the series will be LAUNCH DAY, when kids are encouraged to bring along a camera and their fan club (family members are invited) to document their rocket’s first flight! Rockets will be made from a cardboard tube, with balsa wood fins, and powered by a “B” or “C” Estes model rocket motor. The rockets have parachute recovery, so each child may take their rocket home. All materials will be provided.
PLEASE NOTE: This Rocket Building series is geared towards children 8yrs and up. We will allow children 5-7yrs however, they must be accompanied by an adult to assist with their build.
