Ceramics instructor, Nyra Lang, will guide adults and children through the basics of handbuilding, each family can choose to work collectively or individually building and finishing their pieces which will be glazed and fired to be picked up at a later date (2-4 weeks). This is an open-level class, beginners will watch demonstrations and receive guidance, while more advanced students can self-guide using all of the materials on hand. This workshop is for parents/caregivers with children ages 4+. Please register for each family member participating.
Please bring a smock/apron! Jess will meet everyone at the hilltop @ 10:15AM. This activity is for INNESS members only. Space is limited and registration is required. Cancellations must be made 48 hours prior to class.
Each family will receive their completed pieces - fired and glazed, 3-4 weeks after class.
More about the Instructor: Nyra Lang is a local photographer and ceramicist living in Kerhonkson, NY.
Just a reminder, only property/employee vehicles are allowed down the hill. All others visitors to the property must park at the main lot at the top of the hill and make your way down to the Farmhouse by foot or you can pop into the Gatehouse and request a shuttle.
